
GREEK TURKEY BURGERS with YOGURT SAUCE
INGREDIENTS
1/2 Cup plain fat-free yogurt
1/2 Cup chopped red onion
1/4 Cup chopped cucumber
BURGERS
1 Lb. ground turkey breast
1/2 Cup plain fat-free yogurt
1 Tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/2 Tsp. garlic powder
1/2 Tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 Tsp. pepper
4 Whole wheat hamburger buns or pita pockets
DIRECTIONS
1. In small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients; refrigerate until ready to serve.
2. Set oven control to broil. In medium bowl, mix all burger ingredients except buns. Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about 1/2 inch thick and 5 inches in diameter. Place on rack in broiler pan.
3. Broil burgers with tops about 6 inches from heat 8 to 10 minutes, turning after 5 minutes, until thermometer inserted in center reads 165 degrees F. Place burgers on buns. Serve with sauce.
